FFA Basic Skills Workshop
Monday, June 19th
8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Research and Education Garden in Griffin
Acquire the skills you need to grow a successful school garden and easily use your garden in the classroom. Topics covered include:
- Creating healthy soil
- Planting for the school calendar
- Handling insects in the garden
- Finding resources and lesson plans

FFA Advanced School Gardening Skills
Monday, June 5th
8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Take your garden to the next level at this workshop. The unique workshop uses the carrots includes:
- Using different cultivars in the garden and the classroom
- Handling the challenges of planting those “difficult” seeds
- Hosting a taste test in your classroom
- Finding resources and lesson plans
